Verses: 1 Peter 3:8-9
  • Cultivate unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.

2.2 Living for Good (1 Peter 3:10-12)

Verses: 1 Peter 3:11-12
  • Those who desire a good life and to see good days should turn away from evil and do good.

3. Suffering and Witness

3.1 Suffering for Righteousness (1 Peter 3:13-17)

Verses: 1 Peter 3:14-15

Verses: 1 Peter 3:17
  • It is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil.
  • Maintaining a clear conscience, even in the face of unjust suffering, brings a unique blessing.

4. Christ's Victory and Our Salvation

Verses: 1 Peter 3:19-20
  • The spirit of Christ went and proclaimed to those imprisoned spirits who formerly were disobedient in the days of Noah.
  • This proclamation highlights the long-suffering nature of God, who waited patiently during the construction of the ark.

4.2 Baptism and Salvation (1 Peter 3:21-22)

Verses: 1 Peter 3:21-22
  • Baptism, which corresponds to Noah's salvation through water, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience.
  • This salvation is through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers subjected to Him.
