1. Understanding the Foundation

1.1 The Nature of God

Verses: Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5; John 1:1
  • The absolute unity of God is foundational. There is one God, not a committee of Gods.
  • This one God has revealed Himself in different roles and manifestations throughout history.
  • The importance of knowing the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

1.2 The Centrality of Jesus

Verses: Colossians 2:9; John 1:14; Hebrews 1:3
  • Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
  • He is the Word made flesh, the visible image of the invisible God.
  • Understanding Jesus' role is key to understanding God's plan of salvation.

2. Sharing the Message

2.1 Presenting the Gospel

Verses: John 3:16; Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:19
  • Emphasize the love and mercy of God as revealed through Jesus.
  • Share personal testimonies of how Jesus has transformed lives.
  • Focus on the message of forgiveness and reconciliation.

2.2 Answering Questions

Verses: 1 Peter 3:15; 2 Timothy 2:24-26; Acts 17:2-3
  • Be prepared to answer questions about the nature of God and the role of Jesus.
  • Use scripture to support your explanations.
  • Be patient and understanding in your responses.

2.3 The Plan of Salvation

Verses: Acts 2:38; Acts 3:19; Acts 10:44-48
  • The importance of repentance from sin.
  • The necessity of water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.
  • The infilling of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues.

3. Building Bridges

3.1 Showing Respect

  • Show respect for their culture and beliefs.
  • Find common ground in shared values and principles.
  • Listen attentively and seek to understand their perspective.

3.2 The Power of Prayer

Verses: James 5:16; Ephesians 6:18; Colossians 4:2-4
  • Pray for opportunities to share the Gospel.
  • Pray for those you are trying to reach.
  • Pray for wisdom and discernment.
