The Holy Spirit’s Urgent Wake-Up Call: A Warning to Both the Church and the World

An urgent end-time Bible study focusing on the absolute oneness of God, the essential apostolic plan of salvation, the call to holiness, and the imminent return of Jesus Christ.

1. The Identity of the One Who Calls: The Oneness of God

1.1 The One True God Manifested in Flesh

Verses: Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:9
  • God is absolutely one, not a trinity of distinct persons.
  • Jesus Christ is the complete incarnation of the one true God, the Father manifested in flesh.
  • The Holy Spirit is the very Spirit of Jesus actively calling out to humanity in these last days.

1.2 The Supreme Authority of the Name of Jesus

Verses: Acts 4:12; Philippians 2:9-11; Colossians 3:17
  • The name of Jesus is the single, saving name revealed to the church for salvation.
  • All divine authority in heaven and earth is concentrated in the name of Jesus.
  • The Spirit's wake-up call demands a return to the power, authority, and invocation of His name.

2. The Spirit's Warning to the World: The Apostolic Way of Salvation

2.1 The Command to Repent

Verses: Luke 13:3; Acts 17:30; 2 Peter 3:9
  • Repentance is an absolute prerequisite for salvation, requiring a complete turn from sin.
  • The Spirit warns that without repentance, spiritual death and judgment are certain.
  • True repentance prepares the heart to receive the promise of God.

2.2 Water Baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ

Verses: Acts 2:38; Acts 8:16; Romans 6:3-4
  • Baptism must be performed by complete immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.
  • The Apostles consistently baptized in the name of Jesus, fulfilling the Great Commission.
  • Water baptism represents burial with Christ and the washing away of sins.

2.3 The Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Verses: Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; John 3:5
  • The baptism of the Holy Spirit is essential for entering the Kingdom of God.
  • Speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance is the initial physical evidence of this baptism.
  • The Spirit provides the supernatural power needed to live a victorious life.

3. The Spirit's Wake-Up Call to the Church: Holiness and Separation

3.1 Inward and Outward Holiness

Verses: Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15-16; 2 Corinthians 7:1
  • Holiness is not optional; without it, no one will see the Lord.
  • True holiness encompasses both the inner attitude of the heart and outward lifestyle and appearance.
  • The church must cleanse itself from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit.

3.2 Separation from the World

Verses: 2 Corinthians 6:17; James 4:4; 1 John 2:15
  • The Spirit calls the church to come out from among the world and be separate.
  • Friendship with the world is enmity with God.
  • Compromising with worldly standards extinguishes the spiritual fire of the church.

3.3 Rekindling the Fire of Apostolic Prayer

Verses: Acts 4:31; Joel 2:12-13; Ephesians 6:18
  • The modern church must return to fervent, sacrificial prayer to survive the end-time deception.
  • Apostolic power is directly linked to a life of consistent prayer and fasting.
  • The Spirit is shaking the church out of spiritual lethargy and complacency.

4. The Imminence of Christ's Return

4.1 Signs of the End Times

Verses: Matthew 24:12-14; 2 Timothy 3:1-5; Luke 21:28
  • The rapid moral decay and spiritual apostasy signal that the coming of the Lord is near.
  • The gospel of the kingdom must be preached to all nations before the end comes.
  • Believers must look up and lift up their heads as redemption draws nigh.

4.2 The Bride Preparing Herself

Verses: Revelation 19:7-8; Ephesians 5:27; Matthew 25:1-13
  • The church must prepare herself as a bride adorned for her husband, without spot or wrinkle.
  • The parable of the ten virgins warns against running out of oil, which represents the Holy Spirit.
  • The final call is an urgent cry to trim our lamps and be ready for the Bridegroom's sudden return.
