1. Understanding Who We Pray To

  • Turning from sin is the initial step to a right relationship with God

  • Whatever we ask in His name, He will do for the glory of God

  • Believe that you receive what you ask for, and it will be yours
  • Doubt and wavering hinder our prayers from being answered
  • Without faith, it is impossible to please God and receive from Him

  • Our confidence is that God hears us when we ask according to His will
  • We pray for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth

  • We ought always to pray and not faint, like the persistent widow
  • Be patient in tribulation and continue steadfastly in prayer

4. The Role of the Holy Spirit in Prayer

4.1 The Spirit's Indwelling

  • The Spirit helps our weaknesses, for we do not know what to pray for
  • Our bodies are temples of God, and His Spirit dwells within us
  • The Spirit of truth abides with us and is in us, guiding our prayers

  • He who speaks in an unknown tongue speaks mysteries to God
  • Being filled with the Holy Ghost enables us to speak with other tongues

  • We are commanded to pray without ceasing, making it a continuous practice
  • Always pray and do not lose heart, maintaining a persistent attitude
  • Set aside dedicated times for prayer, as Daniel did three times a day

5.2 Prayer for Others

  • Make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for all people
  • Pray for one another, that you may be healed and strengthened
