  • It is a necessary component of receiving God's grace and forgiveness.

2.3 Water Baptism and Grace

Verses: Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-4
  • Water baptism by immersion is an act of obedience and identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.
  • It is an outward expression of an inward transformation and a part of receiving God's grace.
  • It is to be administered in the name of Jesus Christ.

2.4 The Holy Spirit and Grace

Verses: Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46
  • The infilling of the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in other tongues, is a promise for all believers.
  • It empowers believers for service and witness and is a manifestation of God's grace.
  • It is the Spirit of Christ.

3. Living in Grace

3.1 Grace and Holy Living

Verses: Titus 2:11-12; Romans 6:1-2

3.2 Grace and Service

Verses: 1 Peter 4:10; 2 Corinthians 9:8
  • Grace motivates us to serve others and share the Gospel.
  • It compels us to extend the same mercy and compassion we have received from God.

4. The Source of Grace

4.1 The God of Our Salvation

Verses: Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 5:19
  • Salvation is found only through the one true God, manifested as Father in creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Spirit in empowering grace.
  • These are not three separate beings, but one God revealed in different roles.
