- We are elect according to the foreknowledge of God, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ.

4.1 A Better Word

- The blood of Jesus speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
- Abel's blood cried out for vengeance, but Jesus' blood cries out for mercy and forgiveness.
- His blood speaks of reconciliation and peace.
4.2 Protection and Preservation

- The blood of the Passover lamb protected the Israelites from the destroying angel.
- We are redeemed with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
