The Name of Jesus

1. The Saving Name
1.1 Jesus: Savior and Only Name for Salvation

- The name 'Jesus' means 'Jehovah is Salvation,' revealing His divine purpose.
- Salvation is exclusively found in the name of Jesus, as there is no other name given among men by which we must be saved.
- His name embodies both His identity and His saving work.
1.2 Exaltation of the Name

- God has highly exalted Jesus and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name.
- Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
- Baptism is to be administered in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.
2. The Powerful Name
2.1 Power in Prayer

- Jesus promises that whatever we ask in His name, He will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- We are to ask in Jesus' name to receive and have our joy be full.

- Living in His name means representing Him in all aspects of our lives.
