- God's fire refines and purifies those who are His, removing the dross and impurities.
- The trial of faith, being much more precious than gold, will be found to praise, honor, and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.
4. Avoiding the Lake of Fire
4.1 Repentance and Faith
Verses: Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9-10
- Repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit are essential steps.

4.2 Living a Life of Holiness
Verses: 1 John 1:9; Hebrews 10:26-27
- Confessing and forsaking sin brings forgiveness and cleansing from all unrighteousness.
- Willful sin after receiving the knowledge of the truth leaves no further sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation.
