1. The Fullness of the Godhead in Christ
1.1 The Divine Identity of Jesus

- The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
- God was manifest in the flesh.
1.2 Jesus as God Manifest
Verses: Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:23; John 10:30
- He shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
- They shall call his name Emmanuel, which means, God with us.
- I and the Father are one.
2. The Essentiality of Water Baptism
2.1 Baptism in Jesus' Name
Verses: Acts 2:38; Acts 10:48; Acts 19:5-6
- Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.
- He commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.
- They were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
2.2 The Significance of Baptism
Verses: Romans 6:3-4; Colossians 2:12; Galatians 3:27
- Baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death.
- Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him.
- As many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
3. The Gift of the Holy Spirit
3.1 The Initial Evidence of the Holy Spirit
Verses: Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:6
- They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues.
- The Holy Spirit fell on all those who heard the word.
- They spoke with tongues and prophesied.
3.2 The Purpose of Speaking in Tongues
Verses: 1 Corinthians 14:2; 1 Corinthians 14:4; 1 Corinthians 14:22
- He who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God.
- He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself.
- Tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe but to unbelievers.
